Rudi Hurzlmeier was born 1952 in the down-Bavarian monastery Mallersdorf. After abort of the school career it completed unsteady lehr and moving years as a service-station attendant, Dressman, autopsy assistant, travel-waited, antique dealers u.v.a.m. to 1981 it took up its auto+didactical study of the amusing Zeichnerei, it published first Comicstrips in Underground sheets. Since 1986 he is constant coworker with the satire magazine Titanic (among other things with the alias RU DI HU). It supplied furthermore countless contributions for the magazines multicolored one, Kowalski, Nebelspalter, Penthouse, PM magazine, gong, eulenspiegel, star, listens, to FAZ with etc.

Rudi Hurzlmeier is an artist, who does not take himself beer-seriously. And its works, because it already at all does not understand it, its pictorial being able and fate with much humor to mixer. That may be somewhat more deftiger then already times. There one sees the Amor for example, how he seizes himself on a farm at harmless chickens. Like that is that, if one looks into the private life of prominent ones: It can umhauen completely beautifully! Then there are pictures with Aha effect, e.g. the "Amazonasforscherin", a picture, with which one looks a little and must gruebeln, until one knows finally, where in the picture the Forscherin is to be hidden now. Prima! I want to betray not too much. Particularly successfully also pictures of domestic birds, which, simply by wearing shoes, seem to have everyone for itself a human character. There is sometimes the small details. In short: Hurzlmeiers of pictures to regard makes fun simple.
